Jewels and fashion for autumn winter 2013

This autumn and winter we are wearing our jewellery in the most unusual and unique ways. Nothing new you might be thinking? Well we are finding that the high end design houses are taking the classical necklace or bracelet and putting it on an ankle or waist! These really are exciting times for jewellery and fashion!

The colours are subdued but still as vibrant as ever! But the eye catching part about this collection from Dries Van Norton is the use of plain but striking jewels. The first thing one notices it that it is very subtle hints of jewellery. This is at the opposite end to all things statement, a simple row of gems on a shoe strap and at the collar is all that is needed!

This summer we have seen the return of all things studded. It has never been cooler to wear one’s bling on those denim collars! Well designer Isabel Marant takes things to the next level and has created a series of wrap mini skirts that are covered in gems and sequins. These skirts are ultra flattering for all shapes and sizes- not to mention being very shiny. The easiest way to jazz up even the most casual of days, simple team with plain white or black t-shirt for the epitome of neo-punk glam!

Glitter on glitter is a big trend also. You will see plenty of people layering up those statement necklaces. Going to that massive party at the end of the year and not sure which necklace to wear? Wear all of them and stand out from the crowd. The best way to see in the New Year is with an explosion of colour and the shiniest faceted gems! Get ready for party season at Fruttituttibeadcandy!
