‘Classy Punk’: How to do embellishment right this season!

Embellishment is a look that is going to be around a lot this season. It’s everywhere and on everything already.

Making your leather jacket or pair of heels sparkly is a fabulous cross over between fashion and jewellery. There seem to be punky spikes on everything! Look around and you will see gold tone crosses, diamante’s and beads too. Very pretty around t-shirt collars and on jeans- embellishing your look could not be easier.

How can you make it work for you? Firstly job lots of metal findings are available online for next to nothing, jazzing up your favorite t-shirt is a very creative pursuit for any rainy Sunday afternoon! However if you are not the crafty type but want to get in on the action invest in an embellished statement necklace:

Gorgeous greens and light limes make this pearlescent necklace a superb statement piece. It’s chunky and has a collar-like effect so will go great with plain tops. Combine this with a plain shift dress or even simple fitted jersey top for a great ‘going out’ outfit! These beautiful fresh colours are a must for spring and summer 2013.

Sticking on the theme of green, you have this stunning green waterfall necklace, wear it short for a pretty choker look around your neck. Wear it longer with your strapless top or boob tube for a more boho style look! It’s graduating greens and gold tone necklace will make this the most eye catching piece of your ensemble!

Gothic colours of berry and gun metal grey give a real dark and stylish feel to any look. For a cyber goth look check out this wire choker. Again using different sizes of pearls to make a lovely piece perfect for those alternative evenings out (or to add some spice to those regular evenings too!)
