Basic Beading!

With the weather being dire at the moment  so many of us are choosing to stay in. And why not? It’s just as cool as going out!

There is a lot of fun to be had inside while it’s belting it down with rain and gale force winds outside. One thing that you can do is get creative! There’s nothing better than making some of your own Christmas , birthday or anniversary gifts. There is a real sense of achievement in doing so plus you know your loved ones will adore them!

The receivers of your gifts will be truly thankful, after all a handmade pair of earrings using your mothers favorite colors is so much more thoughtful than a shop bought item by miles! 

Never made anything in your life? You will be surprised as some of the most non-creative people can make some wonderful pieces of jewellery. You don’t have to start off big to begin with. Try something small, Fruttituttibeadcandy recommend a simple bag charm for starters.

Try some simple beading for yourself. You will need 1 pair of round nosed pliers which can be bought from any good crafts shop. Some jewellers wire and beads that you like. (You could always recycle old broken jewellery, old necklaces or earrings for example can betaken apart and the beads used for your new project).

Here is a step by step guide to creating a simple loop:

Place the beads toy chose on your wire. Using your round nosed pliers grip the wire

once you have the loop you can cut off the excess wire
